"These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them. They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their Shepherd and will guide them to the springs of the water of life;
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
Revelation 7:14-17
The tabernacle was the tent that God instructed the Israelites to raise. It was the place where God dwelt in the midst of His people. To have God spread His tabernacle over these saints meant they were covered and surrounded by the presence of God. They were consumed in His glory. Having been finally freed from their mortal bodies, stained with sin, through physical death they were finally able to enjoy His presence. No more separation or fear remained. They were fully covered and fully protected. The sins that had clung to their being were gone. The enemy who had taunted, tempted and accused them was far away from them, forever. They were free.
Consumed by the love of their God
Bathed in the beauty of their God
Surrounded by the glory of their God
Delighting in the unhindered presence of their God
Relieved by the rest of their God
Washed clean by the sacrifice of their God
Strong in the joy of their God
Having left behind hope and faith to behold Him forever and ever, they worshiped God.
